If your in the market for a replacement car, theres a couple of things that you should look at when your considering a used car. One of the big items to consider is the service history of that car. Now, normally what would take place is that the log book or the owners manual inside the car has a section in there which explains the service history. So that gives you a history of whats happened with the car, when the services have been completed, whether they’ve been completed inline with the manufactures recommendations and also if any of the major components have been replaced.
So when your looking at a used car, check out the service history and make sure that it has been serviced correctly. This could save you a lot of money in the long run, conversely if your going to sell your car, make sure that you’ve got a good service history as well, a full maintenance history with your car is going to increase its resale value. So whether buying a car or selling a car, the service history is going to make a big difference to the price.
